the Shoulder Baby Holder has a patented safety nylon ring sewn into the bottom
portion of the tail to prevent it from slipping through the rings if worn incorrectly.
Over The Shoulder Baby Holder has two times the amount of padding on the
parent’s shoulder and around the baby’s head and legs. It’s more
expensive to manufacture, but the quality shows. The batting is paneled
or sewn down; it cannot slip inside the seam into the adjusting portion making
it impossible to adjust. Sewing the batting down also prevents the batting from
bunching up and twisting around while wearing or during washing. The batting
is flame-retardant. This is not an added chemical, and will wash not out. The
flame retardant properties in the batting is not something they add, rather something
they leave out! Batting is thin strands, much like a ball of tangled fishing line.
To keep it from smashing flat, the manufacturers need a way to make the thin strands
lock together wherever they touch. The inexpensive, common way is to spray the
jumbled strands with a resin that makes it stick together wherever two strands
cross. However, this makes it highly flammable, allergenic, stiff, crunchy, and
sticky so that it matts down (but easy to cut and sew). The Over
the Shoulder Baby Holder batting starts with the same strands, but instead of
spraying it with the sticky resin, the strands are heated until they just start
to melt. Each junction welds together and then it is cooled, and voila, a batting
that retains its loft, is hypoallergenic (and is used for Hypoallergenic pillows
etc.), is flame retardant (if you poke a cigarette into it, it just “drills”
a hole but does not catch fire), and is soft to the touch. Most importantly, the
Over the Shoulder Baby Holder batting does not have the added unhealthy chemicals
that other manufacturers use. The Over the Shoulder Baby Holder designer
fabrics are fashionable. Mom can look good while she holds her baby close. The
fabrics are cool, breathable, low allergenic, 100% cotton or mostly cotton-poly
blends. Several of the Extravagant Love Sling fabrics are made from 100% organic

Care InstructionsThe Over the Shoulder Baby
Holder is made of soft, cool 100% cotton material or mostly cotton that is less
allergenic for sensitive baby skin. Padding is flame-retardant polyester fiber
fill. Wash gentle cycle, low heat, air or fluff dry recommended, no bleach. Non-phosphate
detergents suggested for baby's skin. Wash separately first few times as fabric
