FIRM Cotton Mattress -Boulder Style

This is a very FIRM Mattress made with green US grown cotton. Green cotton is unbleached and undyed - very pure, clean, cotton. The Boulder Style mattress is made in the US but is firm just like in India. They are firmer and have about twice as many tuftings than our standard mattresses. These mattresses work best on platform beds, but they can also be placed on top of a box spring.

In order for this mattress to pass fire retardant standards, borate powder is added to the cotton inside this mattress and the encasing is a poly/cotton blend. It is also available without borate powder, and it is available in organic cotton. If you get the option without borate powder you will need a doctor's prescription. Not recommended for pull-out couches or futon frames.

Who are the Boulder style mattresses made for?

 Folks who prefer a FIRM sleeping surface, meditate, are from Japan or India. White Lotus makes a number of custom goods for these customers and because of this, they have created the Boulder style mattress. These mattresses are handcrafted just like their other mattresses but they add more layers of cotton and more tuftings to create a firmer mattress.

Once a family member buys one of these mattresses, they come back and replace all or most of their mattresses and tell their friends. If you are from Japan or India, we know you will prefer the Boulder style mattress.White Lotus Home makes great Indian cotton mattresses, just like in India!

If you are looking for a cotton mattress just like they make in India, a futon just like they are made in Japan, or a nice firm natural cotton mattress, this is the mattress for you!    

NOTE: These cotton futons may have a natural botanical cotton odor that dissipates in a short time. Most people don’t notice it or don’t mind it, but some people can be sensitive to the natural botanical smell. This is not a manufacturing defect.
