Course Description:

This seminar is designed to provide practitioners with the tools to do physical examinations of well and sick children. Participants will learn how to examine each body system to detect common abnormalities and pathological signs. Practitioners will also learn the best methods of examining children at different developmental stages, and specific concerns and signs of abnormal conditions in children from birth through adolescence. We will also cover the markers and red flags for those conditions that require referral to pediatricians and other pediatric specialists for a more thorough evaluation or urgent care.

          RS – throat and chest
          Eyes – vision and function
          Ears – TM, middle ear
          GI – bowel function, colic, tummy aches
          GU – male, female, urinary tract

          Skin – rashes and eruptions
