Firm Support

This Natural Organic Cotton Mattress is Royal-Pedic's most firm organic mattress construction for those who enjoy buoyant, orthopedic support. (Optional R-P Natural Organic Pillowtop Pads will provide a plusher feel).

Chemical-Free - No Chemical Fire Retardants

This mattress features multiple layers of pristine, organic cotton padding that is free of chemical sprays and fire retardants. The layers of organic cotton are supported by 10oz. heavy duty organic cotton fabric to prevent the cotton from pocketing into the coils.

Skilled craftsmen hand layer the organic cotton padding (grown in California, Texas, and Peru) on each side of the innerspring unit to ensure a consistent, supportive sleeping surface. Over 50 pounds of pre-compressed organic staple cotton go into making a king size R-P Natural Organic Cotton Mattress! No polyurethane foam padding is in the mattress, so you have lasting support for your body and a healthier sleeping environment.

The layers of organic cotton are surrounded by layering of our chemical-free French Wool directly underneath the organic cotton covering to provide a naturally resistant fire barrier to meet Federal and State codes without the use of toxic chemicals. A doctor's prescription is not required for this mattress. The French wool also provides resistance to dust mites, dissipates moisture, and helps keep mattress surface temperature comfortable with its natural temperature stabilizing properties.

The inner organic cotton and wool padding is encased in Royal-Pedic's 100% organic cotton ticking woven in the U.S. and Peru, which ventilates body heat, is free of chemicals, and is durable. In contrast, most brands of mattresses use shiny polyester fabrics that contain chemical flame retardant.

Hand Tufted the Old Fashioned Way

The mattress is hand tufted the old fashioned way with European tufting straps to further pre-compress the organic cotton and wool padding for orthopedic back support. They do not use  buttons to tuft their mattresses because buttons have a tendency to turn on their side creating an uncomfortable sleeping surface.

Royal-Flex® 630i Innerspring System

The R-P Natural Organic Cotton Mattress features the double heat tempered,  Royal-Flex® 630i Innerspring System designed in Switzerland to give you excellent support and durability. The innerspring unit contains approximately 68% more coils compared to the industry standard. The coils in the mattress are open ended, unknotted, six turn coils providing more flexibility, which means greater sensitivity to body contours, overall body support and relaxation. The innerspring unit is double heat tempered, a process where the coils are baked in an oven, cooled, then baked again. The heat tempering process provides greater durability and resistance to sag. T-Spring Side Supports are installed around the perimeter of the spring system to provide edge firmness and support.

Pillowtop Pads Available

This is an orthopedic firm mattress. Pillowtop Pads provide extra cushioning, if you need it. We offer the Royal-Pedic Natural Organic Pillowtop Pad in 2”, 3”, and 4” available thickness options. Thus, you can enjoy orthopedic back support with a plush surface feel. All of these Pillowtop Pads feature 10oz. Peruvian 100% organic cotton covering, needle punched French wool quilting on one side, and layering of Talalay natural latex. The 2” version is a knife edge construction, whereas, the 3” and 4” thick versions have a boxed edge sidewall construction featuring French wool quilting in the border as well. 

Box Spring:

The R-P box spring comes standard with the H-2 box spring unit for firm, yet flexible support. Even our box spring contains a layer of organic staple cotton padding for added support for the underside of the mattress. Brass corner guards are installed on all corners, rather than the plastic ones that break off easily, and heavy duty organic cotton fabric is used on the underside of the box spring, instead of the thin synthetic sheeting that commonly droops and frays easily. Cancellation, Warranty and Returns

These organic beds are custom made and are not returnable for any reason. No cancellations are allowed after the order is placed. Royal-Pedic warranties mattresses and box springs against defects in both material and workmanship for ten years. See Warranty and Care Instructions.

Overall mattress height to the floor is approximately 23” with this 8” - 8½” mattress. 7¾” thick box spring, and a 7" metal frame. (Optional pillowtop pads will increase overall height).
